Position Overview:
SFBU is building a pool of qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses in Business Analytics, Decision Analytics, International Finance, Financial Management, Economic Analysis, and Econometrics. Instructors should foster interdisciplinary thinking and prepare students for Silicon Valley's business environment. Adjunct faculty create student-centered, interactive learning experiences.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Course Delivery: Teach business-related courses at undergraduate and graduate levels on-campus in Fremont, CA. Design inclusive instruction using active learning and diverse strategies. Maintain updated course sites and provide timely feedback.
• Curriculum & Assessment: Recommend innovative materials and contribute to learning outcome assessments.
• Compliance & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records and comply with university policies.
• Collaboration & Service: Participate in committees and collaborative projects.
• Professional Development: Engage with SFBU's Center for Empowerment and Pedagogical Innovation (CEPI) and stay current in your field.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field (doctorate preferred), five years of professional experience, teaching experience in classroom and online formats, proficiency with instructional technologies, and commitment to inclusive teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate, extensive professional experience, innovative pedagogies, and experience with diverse student populations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to teach using industry-relevant tools, deliver inclusive instruction, and support diverse students.

Physical Characteristics:
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
