Adjunct: Communication Sciences & Disorders
DeSales University’s Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders seeks to maintain a qualified applicant pool for adjunct faculty to teach courses and/or provide clinical supervision for graduate students in our state-of-the-art on-campus Clinic.
Qualified applicants must hold the equivalent of a Master’s Degree or higher in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. Previous university teaching experience preferred.
Clinical supervisors must have CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) granted by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and must hold PA licensure as a speech-language pathologist. They should have at least 2-years supervision experience and earned at least two hours of professional development post-certification (one-time requirement) in the area of supervision and/or clinical instruction.
For academic courses we are currently seeking instructors with the following areas of expertise:
- Language Development (undergrad course)
- Phonetics (undergrad course)
- Intro to Audiology (undergrad course)
- American Sign Language (ASL)
