Adjunct Faculty - Art Therapy
Teach Art Therapy courses as needed during the academic year.
Education
Master's degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field required. A terminal degree and/or ATR-BC/licensure is preferred.
Experience
Professional experience in art therapy or related clinical practice required. Teaching experience, particularly at the university level, is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Blackboard or Canvas (or comparable LMS) and familiarity with digital tools relevant to teaching.
- Technologically adept and comfortable integrating media into instruction.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and responsible.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and adapt curriculum for Art Therapy courses as needed.
- Create and evaluate assignments in a timely fashion, providing constructive feedback.
- Attend department orientations and trainings as required.
- Support students in connecting studio practice with therapeutic theory and application.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Department Chair.
