Adjunct Faculty - Biology
Description
Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term.
Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $4,500.00 per course.
Governors State University’s College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach Biology courses in the Division of Science, Mathematics and Technology. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not tenure-track, not a part of the faculty bargaining unit, and are not included in membership of faculty Senate.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Biology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Biology
- Experience teaching college level Biology.
- Professional experience in the Biology or Environmental Biology, fields.
- Experience in teaching Physiology.
- Professional experience in Biology such as Research or Consulting.
