Adjunct Faculty - Department of Geology
The Department of Geology within the School of Earth and Environment at Rowan University is seeking qualified candidates to teach Physical Geology (100-level course), Earth Through Time (100-level course), and Dinosaurs and Their World (100-level course). Applicants must have an MS or higher degree in Geology or related science and a bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field.
Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified Doctoral University (Moderate Research Activity) with approximately 23,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia. Philadelphia International Airport is 30 minutes away, and New York and Washington, DC are easily accessible by train from 30th Street Station. The Jean & Ric Edelman Fossil Park (www.rowan.edu/fossils), located only 4 miles from campus, is closely associated with the School of Earth & Environment and provides unique teaching resources to faculty members and students. Rowan’s main campus is located on the Atlantic Coastal Plain, which exposes Holocene through Cretaceous outcrops, including a K/Pg section at the quarry. The Piedmont and Appalachian provinces are 20 minutes and 1 hour away, respectively. The Atlantic coast and the Delaware Bay estuary are within an hour’s drive.
