THE DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AT ROWAN UNIVERSITY invites applications for multiple Adjunct Faculty positions. Successful candidates must have a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. An MS degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required for appointment (PhD is preferred). In addition, excellent written and oral communication skills are expected. Candidates are sought to teach courses in various areas of mechanical engineering, including Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Mechanical Design, Strength of Materials, and Dynamic Systems & Control. In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $1,975 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
