Adjunct Faculty - Department of Teacher Education, Kinesiology, and Educational Studies - Secondary Education
The Department of Teacher Education, Kinesiology, and Educational Studies (DTEKES), in the College of Education, invites expressions of interest for part-time faculty teaching opportunities in Secondary Education for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Part-time teaching positions are available throughout the academic year, including summer sessions. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and selected individuals will work with department faculty to determine a quarterly schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the Department does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations.
The Middle Grades and Secondary Education Program seeks applicants with expertise and experience in the following areas:
- Middle Grades and Secondary Education Generalist
- Middle Grades and Secondary English Language Arts Methods
- Middle Grades and Secondary Math Methods
- Middle Grades and Secondary Science Methods
- Middle Grades and Secondary History or Social Sciences Methods
- Middle Grades and Secondary Assessment
- Content Area Literacy
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have a Master's degree. Some courses may require a Doctorate degree.
- Our students represent many different perspectives and cultures, and the university strives to recruit and sustain a faculty community where all backgrounds are valued and supported.
- Applicants for Middle Grades and Secondary Education methods courses must have minimum of 5 years of experience at the level of licensure.
