Overview:
Salem State University is seeking adjunct instructors with interest and experience teaching topics Salem State University is seeking Adjunct Instructors with interest and experience teaching topics in mental health counseling such as research methods in psychology, developmental psychopathology, psychological testing, gender and human sexuality, practicum and internship seminar, multicultural counseling, differential diagnosis, group counseling, counseling theories, psycho-pharmacology, Research Methods and assessment & testing. Teaching assignments will include at least one in person course, depending upon the expertise of the candidate and needs of the programs. Three (3) years of full-time mental health counseling experience post licensure date is required to teach practicum or internship seminar. Candidates would need appropriate qualifications and experiences in teaching on an undergraduate or graduate level to be considered for a position in the M.S. Counseling program which emphasizes multicultural and social justice perspectives in mental health.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree
Teaching experience
Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and collegiality
Demonstrated commitment to teaching, supervision, and advising
Strength and potential for excellence and leadership in community engagement and university services
MA, LMHC, or Psychologist licensure
Ability to teach in person
Preferred Qualifications
Appropriate terminal degree
College-level teaching experience, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
Experience teaching a multicultural population
Working Location:
This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
