Adjunct Faculty - History
Macomb Community College Part-time Faculty demonstrate deep subject matter knowledge and provide effective instruction to students using various modalities including, but not limited to, on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. Part-time Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning.
- Teach subject matter as assigned by the department using assigned textbook.
- Maintain course materials in the College's Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook.
- Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by published deadlines.
- Participate and actively cooperate with the department and Learning Unit to meet accreditation standards.
- Participate in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned.
- Complete training for various instructional delivery modalities as required.
- Maintain faculty credentials as required by the College's accrediting agencies.
- Attend Faculty Development Days and/or Institutional Development Days as schedule permits.
- Participate in Learning Unit committees as schedule permits.
- Other duties as assigned in compliance with the AAFMCC collective bargaining agreement.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in the teaching discipline or related field; or Master's degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline or related field.
