Job Description:
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences offers college-level courses in the following formats: face-to-face, live online via Zoom, and online via Canvas (PSC’s learning management system). Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, and maintain College and department standards and deadlines. This position reports to Mr. Scott Schackmann, Department Head, Humanities and Social Sciences.

- Languages: ASL, French, Italian, Latin, and Spanish
- Philosophy, Logic, and Ethics
- American Government, International Relations
- Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Child Development
- Social Work
- Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Management
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a master’s degree in one of the fields above or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the specific discipline. A successful criminal background check is required.
Discipline Specific Qualifications:
- Anthropology - a minimum of 9 graduate semester hours in general anthropology
- Early Childhood Education - an emphasis in Early Childhood Education graduate coursework
- Exceptional Student - a minimum of 6 graduate semester hours in exceptional student education
- American History - a minimum of 9 graduate semester hours in American History
- American Government - Coursework must be the same as required in a graduate political science program
- Psychology, Human Growth and Development - Coursework must be the same as coursework required in a graduate general psychology program
- Child Development - a minimum of 6 graduate semester hours in general or developmental psychology and a minimum of 1 year of experience in an early childhood facility

Salary Range:
Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows:
Master’s Degree: $35.00
Doctorate: $38.00
