The candidate must be able to teach in support of the department curriculum designed around the NCFR content areas and criteria for training Certified Family Life Educators and provide documentation of competencies as they relate to the 10 CFLE content areas. The candidate must be able to teach in support of the department curriculum, designed around the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists in training graduate students (AAMFT). Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate or graduate students.
- A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with strong evidence of commitment to providing quality service.
- A therapist with a background in mental health and/or professional practices working with infants through adults.
- A degree in Family Science and/or Education.
- A background in trauma-informed teaching and education in multiple areas.
- A willingness to teach general education courses and collaborative WSU/Honors courses.
- Related community service and experience with underrepresented groups is desired.
- A demonstrated research agenda and interest in involving students in research activities.
- A track record of scholarly publication and the potential for grant procurement are desired.
