Description:

The Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is pleased to invite applications for Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy in the area of ethics. The Department of Philosophy at Hofstra occupies offices in Heger Hall and offers both a B.A. and B.S. in philosophy.

The Department of Philosophy seeks an adjunct instructor/adjunct assistant professor to teach an introductory course in Ethics. Teaching experience plus PhD or ABD preferred. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching introductory course in Ethics
• Grading student work
• Maintaining office hours

Qualifications:

• MA in Philosophy is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in Philosophy or ABD preferred
• Previous college level philosophy teaching experience
