Adjunct Faculty, Physics
The Department of Mathematics and Physics at Manhattan University is seeking part-time faculty to teach lower division courses in Physics and Science during the 2025-26 academic year. Possible courses include Physics I Laboratory (2 credits) and Physics II Laboratory (2 credits) for science and engineering majors taking calculus-based introductory physics. Schedules are flexible. The successful candidate will work with the Laboratory Manager and other Department faculty to ensure a consistent experience for students across multiple sections of these courses. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Responsibilities:
- Teach introductory laboratory courses and/or introductory lecture courses in Physics and general Science. Lab courses meet for a three-hour period each week.
- Work with a diverse community of students to enhance their learning.
- Use email and Moodle LM to communicate regularly with students outside of class.
- Grade student work and provide timely and constructive feedback each week.
- Work with Laboratory Manager and Department Faculty to ensure alignment of course content with program objectives.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in physics or a related field.
- At least one year of teaching experience.
Candidates with a proven record of excellence in teaching will be preferred.
