Adjunct Faculty – Risk Management & Insurance

The School of Business at Mercy University invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the Risk Management & Insurance program.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in areas such as:
- Risk Management
- Commercial Insurance
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Claims & Loss Control
- Compliance & Regulatory Risk
- Cyber Risk
- Financial Risk
- Healthcare Risk Management
- Insurance Analytics
- Related business and insurance disciplines
Adjunct faculty may be responsible for course development (where applicable) and subsequent instruction. Courses may be delivered in multiple modalities, including in-person at the Dobbs Ferry, Bronx, and Manhattan campuses, as well as online (synchronous and/or asynchronous).
Successful candidates may be assigned up to three course assignments per term, based on program needs and enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in risk management, Insurance, FRM Certificate, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in risk management, insurance, compliance, financial services, or a related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience at the college level
- Industry certifications such as CPCU, ARM, CRM, CIC, or related credentials
- Experience with analytics, AI applications, or emerging technologies in insurance and risk management
- Demonstrated expertise in applied business or insurance-related practice
