The Department of World Languages and Cultures invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach two Spanish language courses during the Fall 2025 semester. This is a temporary appointment with potential renewal, depending on departmental needs.

Key responsibilities
- Teach two Spanish language courses (face-to-face)
- Hold regular office hours
- Grade assignments and provide timely feedback
- Assign and submit final grades
- Attend department meetings and cultural events
Minimum qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Spanish from a four-year accredited institution
- Experience teaching foreign languages and cultures to undergraduate students in both face-to-face and online settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a liberal arts education in a diverse academic environment
Preferred qualifications
- Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics, pedagogy, literature, or a related field from a four-year accredited institution
- Three or more years of experience teaching both lower- and upper-division Spanish literature or culture to undergraduates
- Experience teaching in both face-to-face and online formats in a university or college setting
Licenses and certifications
- No specific license or certification required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license: Yes
- Commercial driver’s license (CDL): Not required
Work schedule
Courses may be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, or evening, based on departmental needs.
