The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is accepting applications for Adjunct Health Care Ancillary Instructor positions for the 2025 Academic School Year. This is a part-time position.

Position Overview: LACCD is the largest community college district in the United States, serving over 225,000 students across nine colleges in Southern California. Successful candidates will teach Health Care Ancillary Courses, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or Associate's degree and six years of professional experience, directly related to the teaching assignment. A sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students is required.

Desirable Qualifications: For In-Home Supportive Services: Experience in direct patient care through Home Health or In-Home Supporting Services. For Medical Assisting: Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse, or Certified Medical Assistant. For Optician Technician: Doctor of Optometry or Registered Optician. For Medical Interpretation: Experience in medical translation and interpretation or National Medical Interpreter Certification.

Duties: Teach Health Care Ancillary Courses, fostering culturally responsive interactions with a diverse student population.

Remote Learning: Faculty may conduct classes in a virtual environment using CANVAS or other platforms. Certification in online modalities may be preferred.

Eligibility: All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.

Compensation: Salary starts at $86.85 per standard hour, plus a $20.32 office hour differential. Doctoral degree holders are eligible for a differential.
