Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Hudson Valley seeks experienced, dynamic, capable, creative and caring individuals who would like to join our Adjunct Faculty team beginning the Fall 2026 semester and continue to build on decades of successful service to our community.

To be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not sponsor Visas. Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

Department: English, Foreign Languages, and English as a Second Language

Minimum qualifications: Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in German Studies or related field from an accredited college or university. Prior teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred.

Preferred qualifications: Experience teaching online, hybrid, and/or in-person classes.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach all levels of German Language and Culture to a diverse student population.
• Evaluate Student Performance.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The Salary is $1,523.00 per contact hour.
