The School of Landscape Architecture and Planning invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Urban Planning and/or Real Estate Development. We are seeking qualified candidates who can work with students, colleagues and individuals who have experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

This is a part-time, non-tenure track position. The duties include teaching one to two courses per semester in online or in-person formats.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach one to two courses per semester.
  • Syllabi and assignment preparation.
  • Deliver classroom lectures and instructional activities.
  • Create, grade, and critique student assignments.
  • Exam preparation and grading.
  • Evaluate overall student performance in the course.
  • Participation in relevant department faculty meetings as appropriate.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, or a related field.
  • Experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing web-based and remote learning environments.
  • Successful college or university teaching experience.
