Adjunct Teaching Position

teaching positions in the Communication & Media Arts department for in-person courses for the 2025-2026
academic year.

The School of Visual, Performing, and Communication Arts www.wcsu.edu/svpca/ offers a professional training
program in a liberal arts context at the relatively affordable cost of a public university. New York City’s proximity
means our students receive the benefit of a faculty of nationally recognized artists, directors, designers, performers,
and scholars dedicated to teaching a highly diverse student population. The Department of Communication &
Media Arts offers a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication – Communication Studies; Media Arts – Media
Production; and Digital Interactive Media Arts (DIMA). Detailed information on the department may be found

Course Information: A study of the principles and techniques of problem-solving through group activity.
Emphasis on group discussion and parliamentary procedure. This class will be taught on-ground on Tuesdays and
Fridays from 8:00 AM-9:15 AM.
Course Responsibilities: Teach COM 161 Decision-Making in Groups and deliver course materials that align
with the course description; Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback; Maintain office
hours for student consultation.
Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Communication or related field.
Salary & Benefits: The current minimum starting salary is $2,026 per load credit (or a minimum of $6,078 for a
single 3 credit course). Additional information on benefits can be found at www.wcsu.edu/hr/benefits/. Parttime faculty at WCSU are represented by the American Association of University Professors. All employment, if
offered, is contingent upon proof of citizenship or employability under the requirement of the Immigration and
