Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for The Offices of the Dean of Students within the Division of Student Affairs. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Affairs Compliance & Title IX and provides administrative support to all staff members within the Office of Student Affairs Compliance & Title IX and Restorative Justice. The Administrative Coordinator is a valued team member and will attend all staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with their supervisor.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Implements internal office procedures and administrative guidelines to ensure that operational and administrative systems are maintained in an efficient manner consistent with university and departmental policies, and in alignment with the mission, vision, role, and goals of the university and the Division of Student Affairs in particular.
- Provides support for the daily operations of the Offices of the Dean of Students, specifically in the areas of Title IX and Restorative Justice.
- Assists with the scheduling and coordination of in-person and remote meetings, events, trainings, and education programs, specifically in the areas of Title IX and Restorative Justice.
- Oversees interns, volunteers, and/or work study students for the Office of Student Affairs Compliance & Title IX and Restorative Justice.
- Completes other duties essential to the operations of the Offices of the Dean of Students.
- Analyzes and synthesizes a range of data and produces necessary reports for the Title IX and Restorative Justice units and upper-level administration that will be used to improve overall operational goals.
- Coordinates Intern onboarding processes and training as it relates to providing information on expectations for student staff payroll recording.
- Exercises independent judgment and will be accountable to perform ongoing evaluation and improvements related to administrative functions within the areas of Title IX and Restorative Justice.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and at least two (2) years of professional experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, and facilitation; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
