Position Summary
Plan and coordinate the daily operations of the Center for Faculty Excellence ( CFE ) prioritizing faculty initiatives related to student retention including the Student Engagement Project ( SEP ), First-year Experience ( FYE ), and the University Committee for the Advancement of Teaching ( UCAT ). Support high-participation faculty professional development including new faculty onboarding, TANDEM, Coaching Collaborative (CC), Teaching Analysis by Students ( TABS ), Communities of Practice (CoPs), teaching observations, writing retreats, and faculty search training. Support leadership development programs such as Academic Administrator Training ( AAT ), faculty fellows, and NU DEAL . Organize meetings and workshops; oversee the functioning of the office; process financial transactions, and reconcile accounts; manage data related to utilization and satisfaction; manage website and the use of campus-wide systems such as Localist, Bridge, SmartSheet, Qualtrics and others; communicate with multiple stakeholders such as new faculty, UCAT, budget/finance office personnel, faculty coaches, and TABS consultants.
Job Duties
Responsibility Area: Program and Project Coordination
Duties:
Provide administrative and technical coordination for campus-wide faculty development programming (e.g., new faculty onboarding, Academic Administrator Training, TANDEM, Student Experience Project, Coaching Collaborative, etc.)
Monitor and track timelines and completion steps for multiple programming projects
Communicate with presenters and participants. (E)
Organize meetings with committees and campus partners; provide technical support for virtual meetings; integrate promotion, registration, participation, and evaluation of programming as advised by the CFE director and multiple advisory groups. (E)
Oversee the schedule and work of graduate assistants and faculty consultants/facilitators/coaches. (D)
With limited oversight from the CFE director, serve as primary liaison for teaching observations participants, TABS consultants and participants, and CoPs facilitators and participants. (D)
Manage dashboards for SEP, TABS, CoPs, teaching observations, and CC. (E)

Responsibility Area: Office and Programming Administrative Support
Duties:
Manage Center for Faculty Excellence office functions – staff the office; communicate with faculty, campus partners, consultants, coaches; maintain record organization and file management including confidential records associated with TABS and SEP (E)
Manage shared digital files; correspondence; schedule office and library conference space (E)
Maintain supply inventory; purchase equipment and supplies, etc. for CFE space in Library
Facilitate internal contracts (agreements with UNO personnel) and contracts between external vendors and CFE . (E)

Responsibility Area: Academic Budget Support
Duties:
Coordinate with the Academic Affairs Budget Office to process RPs, PAFs, cost center transfers and communication regarding other personnel actions. (E)
Support Academic Affairs budget team with review and data entry for PAFs, RPs, etc.
Serve as member of campus Business Support Network group being led by the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Budget and Financial Analysis

Required Education: High school diploma
Required Experience: Minimum of two years of general office and/or event coordination experience. Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite and Zoom.
