Administrative Generalist Leader, Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for overseeing the administrative infrastructure of a pediatric research center with approximately 300 personnel.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Ensures effective coordination, compliance, and consistency across research administration tasks and front desk operations.
- Leads, trains, and supervises staff; conducts performance reviews and regular check-ins
- Addresses performance concerns to maintain high-quality faculty support.
- Partners with faculty leadership to coordinate complex workflows, strengthen collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and supports the business and operational functions critical to advancing the center's mission.
General Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to-day operations of a variety of office services to ensure the organization's administrative needs are met.
- Collaborates with managers to ensure office administration policies, programs, and activities are appropriate for their needs.
- Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops a team of para-professional staff.
- Researches, evaluates, and recommends purchases and utilization of resources to minimize costs, manage budgets, and meet the organization's business needs.
- May oversee billing and accounts and other administrative services, ensuring workflow efficiencies, adequate resources, and coordination of administrative services.
