Administrative Support - Student Recruitment Office
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides administrative support to the Student Recruitment Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with the recruitment and retention of prospective and current students
- Greet students and families in person and on the phone
- Maintain shared spreadsheets for recruitment
- Prepare purchase orders and complete purchasing requests for department
- Coordinate and conduct campus tours
- Coordinate and send mailings to students, parents, counselor and principals, and other agencies as appropriate
- Maintain schedule of college fairs and recruiting events
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment in the Recruitment Office
- Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating recruitment activities
- Assist in recruiting and enrollment events on campus
- Prepare work orders for hosted events
- Maintain schedule of student workers
- Answer telephone, text, email, and mailings in a timely manner
- Maintain office supplies and materials including public relations material
- Maintain schedule of college fairs and mail or email letters of confirmation.
- Maintain files necessary for information needed on periodic reports.
- Assist in organizing materials and perform data entry
- Assist in the preparation of written reports and surveys
- Perform accurate and timely data-entry of student information as gathered from various programs and other resources.
- Recommend recruitment process and procedural modifications to the Director of Recruitment
- Assistant the Director of Recruitment as needed
- Perform any office duties as assigned by the Director of Recruitment
- Utilize word processing, database management, excel, CRM and Microsoft 365
- Assist with communication to prospective students, current students, staff, and faculty for events being held on campus
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates Degree in Business, secretarial, computer science, or related field preferred
- Two years experience in office clerical setting
- Demonstrated planning skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated sensitivity to needs of economically/educationally disadvantaged youth and adults
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office 365, and willing to learn new computer software
