Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
UC has a unique and exciting opportunity for a highly professional, motivated and pro-active individual to provide management and coordination of administration support in the Vice-Chancellor's Office. Reporting to the General Counsel/Registrar, you will play a vital role in the delivery of the administration services provided by a small professional administration team to the University Council, Vice-Chancellor and Senior Leadership team members.
Mōu | Who You Are
You will have proven experience providing executive administration support and people leadership to a small team, ideally in a large complex organisation. As the successful candidate you will also have:
- demonstrated experience in quality executive support within a medium-to-large complex organisation
- leadership and coaching experience to support team members' development and ensure positive working environments
- experience building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives
- conflict resolution experience - handling interpersonal or workflow-related issues sensitively
- exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- strong time management, delegation and workflow/prioritisation skills
- proficiency in tools like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Teams and task management platforms.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cheryl de la Rey has responsibility for the overall leadership of UC, reporting to the University Council. Professor Cheryl de la Rey leads the Senior Leadership team and is the equivalent of the Chief Executive of the University.
