Applicants must have A-levels or equivalent, relevant experience in an administrative environment and knowledge of the structure and systems of UK higher education, secondary schools and colleges.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential, along with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a calm, methodical approach. The use of spreadsheets, online databases and a variety of software is central to the work of the admissions office, so strong IT skills and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
