The Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University is seeking a part-time Admissions Assistant to support the JD Admissions Office. About the Position:
The Admissions Assistant offers administrative and front-office support to the JD Admissions Office, handling inquiries from prospective students, applicants, admitted students, and visitors.
This is a temporary, part-time position designed to provide additional administrative and front-office support to the JD Admissions Office during a period of staffing transition. The initial employment is temporary, however, may be extended under departmental needs and funding.
The Admissions Assistant will handle front desk duties, provide administrative support to the Associate Dean for Admissions and Enrollment Management, assist with purchasing, organize admissions events, manage Student Ambassadors, and oversee daily office operations.
Work Schedule: The Admissions Office operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. It is anticipated to require 18-25 hours of work per week during those hours. Priority will be given to candidates who can work Fridays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Specific workdays and hours will be established based on departmental needs and the selected candidate’s availability.
Hourly Rate: Pay up to $24.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
