Dalton State College delivers a transformational education experience in a community serving more than 5,000 students through its two campuses and online programs. Located about 90 minutes from Atlanta and 30 minutes from Chattanooga, Dalton State is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northwest Georgia and is surrounded by abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. Job Summary
This position is responsible for directing the colleges student admissions functions.

Minimum Salary: $73,700

Responsibilities
Directs department operations. - 20%
- Trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel.
- Resolves human resources issues.
- Manages department budget.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures.
- Directs the maintenance of department files and databases.
Directs student admissions operations. - 60%
- Develops and oversees annual admission enrollment goals.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of recruitment plans.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of communication plans.
- Directs the creation of publications and print pieces.
- Resolves escalated admissions issues.
- Executes admissions processing and decisions.
- Monitors processing volumes and accuracy.
- Monitors progress toward institutional admissions goals.
Performs related duties. - 20%
- Performs the duties of other department staff as needed.
- Completes High School Curriculum Unit evaluations for non-accredited and homeschool students.
- Serves on a variety of campus and community committees.
- Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders, including local high schools.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Masters degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
Required Experience
More than five years of related experience required
