We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills. A communicator who can turn complex data into meaningful insights and empower others to do the same.
As the Advisor, Research Data & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the University’s research performance, data reporting, and system functionality. Working closely with researchers, faculties, and central research teams, you will help drive data integrity and contribute to the continuous improvement of our research systems and processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, timely data analysis to inform strategic and operational decision-making.
- Contribute to research data collection efforts, ensuring data accuracy and integrity through quality assurance processes.
- Deliver training on research systems and performance metrics to academic and professional staff.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including faculties, institutes, and administrative divisions, to support collaborative initiatives.
- Utilise advanced Excel functions and tools (e.g., Power Query, pivot tables, formulas, charts) to analyse research data and generate actionable insights.
About you:
You are an adaptable and curious professional with strong technical and analytical skills, who thrives on learning new systems and turning data into meaningful insights. Confident in communication and collaboration, you enjoy building connections, delivering training, and helping others make informed, data-driven decisions.
You will bring a tertiary qualification in data science, information technology, analytics, or a related discipline, combined with relevant professional experience.
