Job Summary
The Data and Evaluation Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data across the Georgia AHEC Program Office and its regional centers. This includes managing day-to-day database operations, providing technical support and training to staff, standardizing data entry practices, and ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. This position collaborates with internal teams, regional centers, and external vendors to improve workflows, generate reports, and maintain documentation such as SOPs and user guides. Additionally, the role involves continuous quality improvement, problem-solving, and approximately 50% travel to provide on-site assistance, ensuring consistent and reliable data management across the statewide network.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate and timely data entry for all state and federal grant activities. Ensure standardized data collection across regional AHEC Centers aligned with grant specific performance measures. Extract, clean, validate, and synthesize data to meet reporting requirements for state agencies and federal funders (e.g. HRSA). Analyze program performance data to monitor progress toward grant deliverables, workforce outcomes, and strategic metrics. Prepare required progress reports, continuation applications, annual performance reports, and respond to ad hoc data requests. Develop summary reports and data briefs for leadership, legislators, and external stakeholders. Reconcile programmatic and performance data with financial reporting to ensure alignment and compliance. Maintain reporting calendars to ensure all submissions are accurate and submitted on time. Support audit preparation and documentation related to grant data and performance measures.
- Provide on-site and virtual technical assistance to regional AHEC Centers. Conduct regular data quality audits and implement corrective action plans. Standardized data entry procedures and promote best practices across the network. Develop and maintain user guides, SOPs, and training materials. Build data capacity at the center level to strengthen compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Monitor data integrity, completeness, and consistency across all centers. Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting standards. Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for performance improvement. Collaborate with leadership to align database functions with strategic goals and workforce outcomes. Establish continuous quality improvement processes related to data collection and reporting
- Provide coordination and analytical support for special initiatives, including the Rural Health Transformation Program and other emerging workforce strategies. Develop evaluation frameworks and track measurable outcomes for pilot or demonstration programs. Prepare data briefing materials, summaries, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders. Contribute to continuous quality improvement and strategic efforts.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with three years of experience in data analytics, data management, or similar experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Policy, Data Analytics, or related field.
Experience in grant reporting, program evaluation, public health programming, or workforce initiative.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge:
Knowledge of GA political system.
Strong proficiency in Excel and data management systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently for meetings, partner engagement, and program activities.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required).
Salary: $62,300-$62,400 annually.
Pay Band: B12
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
This position is (fully/partially) funded through external sources. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of these funds.
