This is your opportunity to step into a non-traditional, education-focused role centred on student supervision and mentoring, shaping the next generation of allied health professionals — while creating a meaningful and lasting impact for communities across Central Queensland.

Why this role is different

  • Make a genuine community impact

  • Supported transition into education and supervision
  • Prior academic teaching or student supervision experience is not required.

The role

Allied Health Clinical Leads at CQCRRH provide support and supervision to Allied Health students throughout innovative interdisciplinary placements. They support students to develop clinical and rural generalist skills working with communities across the lifespan. Placements are based on a service-learning model which is a contemporary approach to remote service provision and workforce development.

As an Allied Health Clinical Lead – Social Worker, you will:

  • Collaborate with local health services, community stakeholders, and CQCRRH colleagues
  • Contribute to workforce development initiatives and rural health research evidence
  • Support CQCRRH KPIs, reconciliation commitments, and JCU values

Placements are delivered using a service-learning model, integrating education, service provision, and community partnership.

You will be supported to

  • Share your clinical expertise to guide, teach and inspire students
  • Develop and deliver creative placement activities aligned to community needs
  • Build confidence in clinical education and supervision
  • Contribute to interprofessional practice and rural workforce development
  • Grow your leadership capability in a supportive, collaborative environment
