About the opportunity

Join the University of Sydney as the Analyst, Student Information and Regulatory Reporting, where you will support student information reporting and data collection initiatives to meet institutional reporting obligations, including for the Tertiary Collection of Student Information (TCSI) – a joint initiative between the Department of Education and Services Australia, designed to modernise and streamline the way tertiary education providers report student and staff data.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide analytical, operational, and process improvement support across the student information lifecycle, contributing to data quality, handling, reporting, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • support effective data governance by maintaining student data integrity, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, and collaborating within and across portfolios to uphold consistent definitions, quality, and reporting accuracy.
  • contribute to the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of regulatory and performance reports, dashboards, and insights to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and informed decision-making.
  • foster effective collaboration and communication across teams and stakeholders to support continuous data alignment, issue responsiveness and resolution, and reporting enhancements, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent service delivery.

About you

The University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for an Analyst, Student Information and Regulatory Reporting who has:

  • experience in training or presenting information to small groups (up to 15 people).
  • experience in developing strong stakeholder relationships
  • ability to validate, query, and interpret complex student data to identify patterns, provide actionable recommendations, and support decision-making
  • leverage expert data analysis and insight skills to inform decisions, engage stakeholders, and deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
