Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains. In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Job Description

Prepares and delivers instruction in introductory Anthropology courses to a diverse student body. Provides regular and timely feedback to students and utilizes innovative classroom instruction to promote student success. Actively participates in all Departmental assessments and classroom management requirements. Morning, afternoon and evening teaching assignments may be offered on both weekdays and weekends.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a Master's degree in Anthropology (or a Master's degree in a closely related field with a minimum of 30 graduate credits in Anthropology) and one year of practical teaching experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. or ABD in Anthropology preferred.

Position Effective: Fall 2023. Salary & Benefits: $82.57 per hour. No benefits.
