Architect
Job Summary/Basic Functions
This position is in the Division of Facilities Management & Safety. The architect administrates capital construction projects across the main campus and at regional campuses. The Capital Construction Project Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that the needs of user groups are clearly communicated to design professionals and that projects are designed to efficiently and effectively implement desired programs. That construction is accomplished timely and within budget. The position will oversee the administration of projects from initial planning, programming, and budgeting through the warranty period.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Related bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Must have one year of experience above that required for licensure.
Licensure & Certifications: Must be licensed as a professional architect by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects, or, must be licensed as a professional engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Must maintain a current license as a professional architect by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects, OR, as a professional engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors
Preferred Qualifications
Job Duties
- 75% - Administration of Capital Construction projects
- 10% - Creation of Capital Construction Projects
- 10% - Develop Documents and Specifications for Capital Construction
- 5% - Support the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned
