Administration & Committee Work - Under the direction of the Residential Life Leadership Team, chair or co-chair a departmental committee and ensure all responsibilities and tasks are completely accurate and by established deadlines. Coordinate area administration, procedures, and operation, including opening and closing the buildings for the new academic year and break periods.Residential Curriculum, Community Development, and Student Success - Collaborate with Residence Life Leadership team to develop and implement the Residential Curriculum. Create an environment that enables students to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, interpersonally, and ethically.Student Behavior, Case Coordination, & Crisis Management - Serve in on-call rotation. This position requires variable working hours, including late night and early morning hours as situations dictate, as well as when needed in an emergency response capacity. The Area Coordinator, in conjunction with other professional Residential Life staff members, alternates on-call coverage. Assess and address student concerns/crisis. - Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $5,540 - 5,800 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

Education and Experience- Earned or equivalent to a bachelor's degree and at least three years' experience in higher ed student housing or related field
- Master's degree in Student Development, Higher Education, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field, highly preferred.
Licenses / Certificates- Valid CA Driver License required.
Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.
