JOB TITLE:
Area Supervisor - Retail Dining, Einstein Bagel
JOB PURPOSE:
Organize, coordinate and supervise operational duties and assigned
personnel in Einstein Brother's Bagel operation under general
supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and participate in the operational activities of a
quick service dining unit including food preparation, ordering,
staff supervision and maintenance of area records; prepare
production schedules and employee work schedules.
- Coordinate daily operation for designated food service
unit.
- Assist in developing and enforcing customer service best
practices, food safety, and departmental quality standards.
- Make hiring recommendations; train, supervise and assist in
evaluation of work performance of assigned personnel.
- Supervise and inspect work activities of assigned personnel;
set up work and daily operations of a designated area; oversee
cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment and work area.
- Uphold brand standards of a national brand quick service
restaurant or culinary standards as directed by dining
leadership.
- Monitor cash handling and cash register operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
2 years work-related experience
Required licensure, certification, registration or other
requirements:
Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant
with the
Driving for University Business
SAP.
Experience Evaluation
Minimum experience requirements are evaluated on a full-time
equivalent (FTE) basis. Relevant part-time experience will be
prorated based on hours worked. For example, two years working an
average of 20 hours per week is equivalent to approximately one
year of full-time experience.
Applicants must include the average hours worked per week for all
current and previous positions. Failure to provide this information
may affect the evaluation of qualifications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Office/shop/warehouse/kitchen environments; mobility required to
perform functions of area. Some positions may stand for an extended
period of time. Due to seasonal operation of retail dining
locations, Dining Area Supervisors can expect to work in other
retail dining locations during summer and university break
periods.
