Hours:
Standard University business hours
8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)
Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Job Description:

The Assessment Associate plays a critical role in cultivating a campus welcoming to all. The Assessment Associate is responsible for analyzing data, creating relevant reports, and recommending actions to support the strategic goals of Office of People and Culture (OPC).

The Assessment Associate works on a highly collaborative team to improve workplace climate for staff and faculty. This individual reports to the Assistant Vice President for People and Culture.

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate or professional degree in a relevant field.
  • Must have 3 years of professional experience with quantitative assessment.
  • Experience with qualitative analysis is desired.

  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and provide assessment strategies consistent with the priorities of the office.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deal with multiple demands. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, and responsiveness are a must. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small and medium-sized assessment projects under the supervision of senior management within OPC. Work concurrently on multiple short and long-term projects. Collaborate with the OPC senior leadership to adhere to assessing the core priorities of the office. Perform data extraction and statistical analysis with a high level into actionable insights that drive strategic decision making. Develop research methodologies such as surveys, focus groups or the use of existing data to improve OPCs goals and objectives. Communicate quantitative/qualitative findings and insight to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Provide OPC staff training and consultation in best practices of assessment, learning outcomes, and the use of results for improvement. Develop and submit formative and summative reports to the Vice President for People and Culture regarding program goals and impact.
  • Assist with workplace climate survey. Utilize Tableau or other dashboard software to design, develop, and maintain visually compelling dashboards and reports. Demonstrate competence in extracting data from university databases and software. Responsibly and ethically utilize University approved AI tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Assist with institutional accreditation activities, including providing documentation and evidence gathering for reports. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and external agencies.
  • Serves as a liaison, provides assessment coordination for the Office of People and Culture, and promotes the core functions of the office as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participates in special projects, ad hoc working groups, and other duties as assigned.
