Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting student success? We now have an exciting opportunity for an Assessments and Results Officer to join our dynamic team in the Student Services and Support Directorate.

  • Full-time, continuing position
  • Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas (on-site)
  • HEWL 5: $78,740 - $89,310 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Assessment Officer provides customer-focused services and information. The responsibilities of the role include the delivery of accurate, timely, compliant results provision and efficient assessment coordination. Working in a team focused environment, attention to detail and expert use of systems (excel and other MS products) will contribute to both staff and student experiences and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualification or related experience or a combination of relevant experience, education/training.
  • Significant organisational, problem solving and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines, and an established record of exercising discretion, judgement and initiative.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to maintain effective working relationships, including demonstrated ability to negotiate, consult and liaise with staff from all levels of the University and students.
  • Effective computer and data entry skills using the Microsoft Office suite and other specialist student and learning related software.

ABOUT THE STUDENT SERVICES AND SUPPORT DIRECTORATE

The Student Services and Support Directorate is responsible for managing and coordinating a broad range of student administrative and enquiry management functions and services that are critical to the student experience. Services cover the stages of the student life cycle, from once admitted to a course through to graduation. Areas within the Directorate include Academic Administration and Enrolment; Client Services, Communications and Engagement; Inclusion, Wellbeing and Outreach; Student Finance and Scholarships; Examinations and Graduations; and Student Matters.
