The Faculty of Business is an AACSB-accredited one aiming at continuous improvements of our academic level and education service in the liberal arts setting. The Faculty plays an important role in educating students about cutting-edge, practical knowledge and skills, improving students' academic and professional capabilities, as well as enhancing students' awareness on social responsibilities. Furthermore, we have been devoting every effort to the sustainable development of Lingnan University in the academic community and the substantive realization of our values and mission in the Hong Kong society and the world.
The appointee is expected to take up a wide range of administrative duties to the Faculty of Business. Major duties include but not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Assist the Dean of the Faculty in planning and administering various faculty collaborations as well as managing daily operation of the Dean’s Office
- Supervise and provide administrative support in a wide range of duties pertaining to the development of the faculty
- Provide support to matters pertaining to research postgraduate programme and postdoctoral training at the faculty level
- Liaise with internal and external parties, including but not limited to universities and industry partners from Hong Kong, mainland China and aboard
- Provide administrative support for faculty level research centres
- Supervise junior staff in the Dean’s Office and faculty level research centres
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 5 years of relevant administrative experience in tertiary education
- Substantial administration experience in providing administrative support to Dean’s Office and faculty level research centres, especially on the implementation of policies related to the faculty development, branding, promotion and strategic management
- An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua), especially with a high level of English proficiency in writing reports, proposals and minutes
- The ability to take the initiative and to carry out duties independently and under tight schedules
- Good supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate junior staff to achieve common goals of the faculty
- Proficiency in IT and computer applications (e.g., such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, webpage content management, etc.) will be an advantage

Appointment
The rank and commencing salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, and gratuity.
