Assistant/Associate Adjunct Faculty in Economics - ECON 101.08 Microeconomic Principles and Applications - Fall Semester 2025

Qualifications: For ECON 101.08, Microeconomic Principles and Applications, an undergraduate course for Fall Semester from 08/25/2025 to 12/14/2025, held MWF 12:05 PM - 1:10 PM on the Moraga Campus. The class develops the principles governing markets where households seek to maximize their wellbeing with limited income as they interact with firms focused on profit maximization. The resulting exchanges take place under varying market conditions, shaped by government policies. Outcomes are evaluated for economic efficiency or other standards. Topics include traditional markets and social challenges like pollution, climate change, discrimination, and inequality, with special attention to the positive economic impact of diversity and negative impact of discrimination in the US economy.
A Ph.D. Candidate in Economics is highly desired with a successful record of teaching Microeconomic Principles at the college level. Candidates should have teaching experience at the undergraduate level and familiarity with online/hybrid instruction. Candidates must perform all course-related work within the state of California. Salary: $6,480 to $10,308 dependent on qualifications, covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
