Assistant, Associate, Full Professor of Surgery - Vascular Surgeon

The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full time, academic surgeon to provide the full spectrum of vascular care at UCSF Health, to include one or more of its community-affiliated and/or public safety net hospitals. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery by the time of hire. Applicants must have completed an accredited vascular surgery fellowship or integrated residency program and be well-trained in both open and endovascular interventions. Applicants' materials must list current, eligible, and/or pending qualifications upon submission. The successful candidate will develop a broad-based clinical vascular surgery practice, help to integrate vascular surgery services across UCSF Health sites, and support the division's leading research and education programs consonant with its mission.
Clinical responsibilities include staffing of outpatient clinics and performance of surgical procedures at both UCSF and one or more of its community affiliate hospitals, participating in the division call schedule that includes weekday/weekend coverage across campuses, and participating in the physician reading panel for noninvasive vascular diagnostic studies.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department's residency training and educational programs, including providing scheduled lectures as part of the division's didactic educational programs.
Practice expansion at a local affiliate hospital, and development of an ambulatory venous practice, will be important aspects of the position. Interests and experience in quality improvement, noninvasive vascular imaging, ambulatory vascular practice, and/or surgical education are desired.
The UCSF Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for patients with vascular disorders including peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm/dissection, carotid artery disease, hemodialysis access and venous disease. Faculty treat a diverse population of patients at the main UCSF campus, several affiliated hospitals, and outreach clinics across the Bay Area. Our division is noted for its longstanding training and research programs that have broadly impacted the specialty.
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 - $405,900. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
