Position title: Foot & Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $128,100 - $253,800. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking exceptional, Foot & Ankle fellowship-trained Orthopaedic surgeons to join our team.
We are looking for well-rounded clinicians who will help expand patient access and support a high-volume, dynamic clinical service. The successful candidates will manage the full spectrum of Foot & Ankle conditions, including complex and diverse cases. The selected candidates will also provide excellent patient care, teaching, and engage in scholarly activities across our UC San Diego Health locations.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications
(required at time of application)
Candidates must have a DO, MD, or equivalent.
Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates must have or be eligible for certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed an ACGME-accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency training program.
Additional qualifications
(required at time of start)
Candidates must have a CA Flouroscopy license by the time of the start of the appointment.
Candidates must have completed a fellowship program in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the time of the start of the appointment.
Preferred qualifications
Candidates with at least one year of experience in caring for a broad range of patients within foot and ankle care are preferred.
Candidates with at least one year of experience or training in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgical techniques are preferred.
