Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $230,000 - $322,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Position description

The Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking outstanding physicians to join the Division of Emergency Medicine at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego (RCHSD) and our satellite location in Murrieta, CA.

Ranked among the nation's top 10 Best Children's Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, RCHSD is a 511-bed, nonprofit pediatric teaching facility and Level I Trauma Center that provides exceptional medical and surgical care to a broad population of more than one million children and adolescents.

The Division is committed to excelling in clinical care, teaching, research, quality improvement, community service, global health, and physician wellness. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients. In addition, they will provide training and teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows, and engage in scholarly activities and research.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

• Candidates must have an MD or equivalent.
• Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
• Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
