The University of California, San Diego invites applications for one or more faculty positions in Artificial Intelligence & Public Policy. This is an open rank search. Appointments will be tenured or tenure-track, based on the candidate's background and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a rigorous program of high-quality, innovative, federally-funded research. Candidates should demonstrate interest and contributions in both an AI technical domain and a long-term public policy domain. A focus on intersecting fields is encouraged, as in societal computing, innovations in community based participatory research using digital technologies, and human-in-the-loop decision support systems.
