The successful candidate will provide the full spectrum of general and thoracic pediatric surgical care, with a particular focus on pediatric bariatric and metabolic surgery. Seattle Children’s Hospital has established a comprehensive obesity management center, with bariatric surgery serving as a major component of this multidisciplinary program. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the continued development and growth of the surgical program and collaborate closely with specialists across the obesity management center.

The primary site of practice will be Seattle Children’s Hospital, with opportunities to participate at other sites consistent with regional affiliations and institutional strategy. The Division of Pediatric General Surgery includes 16 board-certified pediatric surgeons and supports a busy tertiary and quaternary care practice, as well as regional clinics.

The successful candidate will participate in the clinical, educational, and academic missions of the division, including the selection, teaching, and training of residents and fellows. As a member of the University of Washington faculty, the candidate will engage in teaching, research, and service, with opportunities for scholarly activity, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
