Description

The Division of General Neurology evaluates and treats all neurological conditions. The division includes the Yale Headache Center, which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of headaches, and the Yale Neurology Resident Clinics. The Resident Clinics offer specialized care in general neurology and stroke and include the Neurology Urgent Access Clinic (NUAC). The goal of NUAC is to allow expedited evaluation of patients seen in the emergency room as well as those referred from physicians requiring an urgent assessment. A major role of the division is to ensure patients are seen by appropriate sub-specialists within the department. If the diagnosis is unclear or the patient would benefit from sub-specialty care, then the General Neurology Division will initially evaluate patients and make internal referrals to the appropriate sub-specialists to allow for the best possible care.

We provide a highly collaborative, supportive, and mentored environment that promotes specialists to pursue career growth within their specific area of interest. This position offers applicants an exciting opportunity for individual programmatic development and goal discovery across varied academic interests within our division and department. Rank will be based on education and experience. We anticipate faculty applicants to be dedicated to the education of the next generation of subspecialty experts.

We seek motivated academic physicians with clinical expertise in: 1) the care of adult general neurology and subspecialty patients, 2) Participation in clinical trials, 3) Opportunity to teach. Practice location will be in New Haven County.

The community of New Haven and the surrounding areas provides a beautiful landscape to settle which has something for everyone including music, theater, a foodies’ delight, beaches, boating, shoreline towns, and tons of outdoor adventure. Yale University further offers the benefits of the academic environment, collegiate events, literary and art collections, and performance art.
