Job Description

• Teaching and supervision of students in Czech and English within undergraduate and graduate courses focused on social geography, with specialization in: urban studies, socio-spatial inequalities, transformations of cities and regions, environmental change, sustainable development
• Research and project activities in social geography and urban studies focusing on: socio-spatial processes, institutional frameworks, urban and regional development policies
• Development of an independent research agenda, including: building a research team, collaboration with existing research groups on topics such as: spatiotemporal mobility, disability and accessibility, climate change

Skills and Qualifications

• PhD in social geography, urban studies, sociology, or a related field
• Publication record corresponding to the level of an established researcher (R3), ideally with international impact
• Proficiency in Czech and English, both spoken and written
• Experience in research and/or applied projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness and ability to contribute to departmental activities and development of study programmes
