The School of Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is the urban law school of the University of Missouri System and is located on a beautifully landscaped campus in the Country Club Plaza area of Kansas City, Missouri. The UMKC School of Law seeks to hire an entry level (Assistant Professor) or junior lateral (Associate Professor) tenure-track faculty member in Law & Technology or Administrative Law, especially with a focus in Health Law or Environmental Law. The position will begin in Fall 2026. The School of Law is looking for faculty members with a strong commitment to educating lawyers for the 21st century and those who will actively participate in our collegial, collaborative community.
Qualifications
- A J.D. or equivalent degree is required.
- Prior lateral faculty appointment at a comparable institution or career experience equivalency is required to be considered for an Associate Professor.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications, experience and evidence of success in externally funded research. This is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, full-time (1.0) faculty appointment eligible for tenure and promotion. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
