Assistant/Associate Professor of Creative Writing and Journalism
The Department of English at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Creative Writing & Journalism beginning in Fall of 2026. We seek a published creative writer and journalist with experience teaching in both fields. The typical teaching load is 3/3 and will include an advisory role with the Round Table, our student newspaper. Courses include a multi-genre introduction to creative writing (fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction), introduction to journalism, and upper-level courses in both fields. Tertiary interests may include creative nonfiction, American literature, expository writing, and media studies.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or MFA in English, Creative Writing, or appropriate field. ABD candidates considered. Teaching experience, professional journalism experience, and publications are required.
