Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for a doctrinal tenure-track faculty position to commence at the start of the 2026-27 academic year. We seek applications from exceptional candidates with a passion for teaching and scholarship, and who are excited about being part of a collegial, student-oriented, committed faculty.

McGeorge School of Law currently has multiple curricular needs, particularly Constitutional Law, Property, Intellectual Property, Torts, Remedies, Professional Responsibility, Community Property, International Law, and Wills and Trusts. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree.
  • Exceptional academic record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in teaching and research.
  • Commitment to the vision, mission and core values of the law school.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Technological competence.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Some lifting of materials (20 lbs. or less). Bending, stretching, reaching required. Sitting for long periods of time.
