KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, the assistant athletic trainer will discharge the following responsibilities:

• Assist in administering the University's Athletic Training Services program
• Evaluate, treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries for our NCAA student-athletes
• Provide expert review and documentation of injuries
• Refer for appropriate medical care, as needed
• Travel with teams, as assigned
• Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies for the athletic training room
• Serve as a preceptor for athletic training students and interns
• Complete and file all required paperwork and electronic documentation
• Maintain positive relations with local health care providers
• Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies
• Demonstrate a high level of motivation with strong interpersonal skills
• Participate in committees and provide service to the Department, University, and Profession

This is an SL-2, full-time, 10-month, term-appointed, professional position. The start date will be negotiated with the final candidate and be no later than August 1, 2026. The salary range for this position is $45,000-$48,000, commensurate with experience. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field
• Current certification from NATA Board of Certification
• CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Certification
• Must be licensed/eligible for New York State licensure
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights and weekends when necessary
• Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to work towards departmental objectives
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass LENS certification
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission
• Demonstrated commitment to the university, division, and profession

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field with prior athletic training experience
• Prior experience at the Division III level
